Chatur Singh Two Star - Babbling & Fumbling

 What is it?
This so called desi version of the Pink Panther series unknowingly achieves a goal of being a consistence headache right from the moment it starts. Finally unleashed in theatres after delays, this Ajay Chandok helmed disaster under Rumi Jaffery script is babbling and fumbling which is destined to be a disaster.
The idea was clever and for all good intentions planned to be a fully realized madcap farce with the very talented Sanjay Dutt as the babbling police officer who bursts of wild-and-craziness, but the outcome is a complete letdown and sad experience to see Sanjay trying to sustain but couldn,t not even for 2 reels.
The Story Of course
He knows everything about nothing... and he's on a mission to destroy himself! He is Chatur Singh 2 Star (Sanjay Dutt), an infamous member of the Mumbai Police Department who, in his career, has been most successful at botching up cases and making a fool of himself. Inspite of being a disgrace to the team, Chatur Singh has just been handed the biggest case in the department's history and of course, this is the perfect chance for him to prove everyone why he is the best officer they have.
Chatur Singh takes off on the secret mission to South Africa. His bumbling mannerisms, clumsiness and of course, his 'super intelligence' sets off a string of events which lead to more chaos and confusion than anyone could have ever imagined.
What to look out?
Tough one...Really tough one....It's absolutely tough to bring good points from this arid stretch of nonsense interrupted by moments of irresistible follyness. To be fair with Dutt, I say he at least tries.
What not?
An ultimate no right from the word go; the question is for whom is this desi juvenile avatar of Pink Panther designed for. There's hardly any resonance for any and the situations, humour, gags hardly arouse any laughter. The movie is as bizarre as Sanjay Dutts wardrobe in the film. And it's hard to believe that it wastes such comic talents like Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik, Mishra and Memom. Ameesha Patel tries to be sexy and makes a big joke.
At times when you are having some good time in Bollywood with 'Ready' 'Singham' 'Aarakshan' Delhi Belly etc you are introduced to this awfulness where the maker takes every care that the film doesn't sustain.
Recommended: If you feel nobody can frustrate you then try this flick
